The BA (Hons) in Linguistics and Literature provides students with language skills in various languages used in Rwanda and in East Africa in terms of language theories and practices. It emphasizes on technical aspects of the language with application to literature in different languages. This program aims at building a graduate with research skills in languages and which can transmit his knowledge via teaching, journal paper writing, and so many other career opportunities such as managing language centers, Language and Culture academies, Speech writing, conference facilitation, Text editing and Media redaction, and other cultural entrepreneurship related works

To be admitted, prospective candidates must meet the minimum entry requirements with respect to the following:

  1. At least two Principal Passes with at least eighteen (18) points in two of the following subjects: Literature, English, French, Kinyarwanda, Kiswahili, Entrepreneurship and Drama.
  2. TVET candidates must have three principle passes with at least 30 aggregate points in Secretarial studies
